The segmental structure of PU was tuned through the rational design of reactions employing different diols or isocyanate monomers, thereby enabling control over elasticity, thermal stability, mechanical strength, and hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance.
The crystallinity, toughness, and processability of PET were modulated through the incorporation of comonomers, grafting, or chemical coupling, thereby enhancing its suitability for diverse applications in optics, fibers, and engineering plastics.
PS was modified via graft copolymerization or functionalization to improve its impact resistance, compatibility, and thermal properties, thereby broadening its application in composites and modified plastics.
